Welcome Classroom Volunteers!
I love having parents/ family members help out in my classroom! I know some are available to help in the classroom, some at home, or just on a field trip. I will take any help wherever it comes from! Please take a look below and email me your preferences if you haven't already filled out a form. If you plan to volunteer at anytime during the year, be sure to complete a back ground check! All volunteers MUST COMPLETE a background check. This applies to anyone planning to eat lunch with their child, help out at school, or go on field trips. (Parents, grandparents, etc) Background checks are good for 2 years. Hiteon began using a new system 3 years ago, so if you registered last year on the system you should be fine. You can contact the front office if you are not sure . If not, please click on the link and follow the steps. It might take a few days (possibly weeks) so please plan accordingly for when you plan to volunteer. Links are listed below.
When signing up for volunteering, please include the following:
- day of the week ( I typically take 2-3 per day so I have enough for you to do when you are here :-)
- timeframe (what time and how long)
- frequency (weekly, every other week, once a month)
- preferences of what you like to do when you volunteer (work with kids - which subject, copy, correct papers, etc, other activities)
- volunteer background check - current status
